Michael Howse Therapeutic Massage 60m Championship

Age Champions Point Score:

  • These awards are available to club members only
  • There is a section for males and a section for females
  • The winner of each age group, in each event, run on a competitive day, 4 points for 1st place, 3 points for 2nd, 2 points for 3rd and 1 point for any other place.
  • A person’s best four events only will count, therefore, a person may receive a maximum of 16 points per day.
  • Each week of competition is to be counted.
  • Open day results do not count.
  • To be eligible a competitor must have competed over a minimum of 8 weeks.

Multi-Event Champion:

  • These awards are available to club members only.
  • There are two trophies one for males and one for female.
  • Only distance and times recorded at Wodonga Competition days will count towards multi points.
  • A competitor must have completed in ten different events to be eligible.
  • A competitor must have completed in eight normal program weeks to be eligible.
  • Pentathlon and relay day results do not count.
  • There are 12 events to which a person’s personal best in each event will be counted. The events are 100m, 200m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, High Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus and Javelin.
  • Points awarded are based on IAAF standards except in events where no points table exists.
  • A person’s highest and lowest points scores will not be included (i.e. a maximum of 10 events scores are counted).

Club Champions:

  • These awards are available to club members only
  • This competitions is for people in the U16 and above age group, Under 14 athletes are ineligible.
  • There are 4 trophies available. One each for best male and female and one each for the runner up male and female.
  • The best 10 weeks of a person’s points score will be counted.
  • 1% of points earnt for the Multi Award
  • Points for Country Medals are to be awarded as follows. Gold 4, Silver 3, Bronze 2 and participating 1.
  • Points for State and National Medals (where an athlete is representing WAC) are to be awarded as follows.
    Gold 4, Silver 3, Bronze 2 and participating 1.

Throwing Champion:

  • This award is available to club members only.
  • This award is judged by the Track & Field Committee.
  • It is judged on throwing performances over the season.

Most Improved Male & Female:

  • These awards are available to club members only
  • This award is judged by the Track & Field Committee
  • It is judged on performance over the season which includes personal best, training, and a steady performance over the year, as well as involvement in club activities.

Coaches Award:

  • These awards are available to club members only
  • This award is judged by the club coaches
  • It is judged on performance over the season which includes personal bests, training, and a steady performance over the year, as well as involvement in club activities.

Jumps Champion:

  • This award is available to club members only.
  • This award is judged by the Track & Field Committee.
  • It is judged on jumps performances over the season.

Michael Howse Therapeutic Massage 60m Championship
This is run over 60metres with the time for each athlete being divided by 6 and then multiplied by 10 to give a 100m time. This 100m time is then entered into the program used to determine Multi points together with the correct age group. The male and female athlete with the greatest points is deemed to be the 60m Champion.
